By downloading or using Spruce, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

What Spruce does

Spruce is a phone maintenance app for iPhone. It helps you review and remove photos, screenshots, and videos from your photo library. Spruce scans your library locally on your device to find items you may want to tidy up, such as large videos, old screenshots, and similar photos.

Subscriptions and billing

Spruce offers optional auto-renewable subscriptions:

• Annual plan: $29.99/year with a 7-day free trial
• Monthly plan: $4.99/month

Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at the time of purchase, or at the end of the free trial period if applicable. Subscriptions automatically renew unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.

You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time by going to Settings on your iPhone, tapping your name, then Subscriptions.

Prices may change from time to time. If a price change affects your subscription, Apple will notify you in advance.

Free features

Without a subscription, you can view your storage insights and complete your first cleanup. After your first cleanup, a subscription is required to continue using cleanup and tune-up features.

Your content

Spruce does not own, claim, or control your photos, videos, or any other content on your device. You retain full ownership of everything in your photo library.

When you remove items through Spruce, they are moved to your iPhone's Recently Deleted folder. Items remain recoverable for 30 days. After 30 days, your iPhone removes them permanently. Spruce does not permanently delete items directly.

Your responsibilities

You are responsible for reviewing items before removing them. Spruce provides previews, selection controls, and confirmation screens to help you make informed decisions, but the final choice to remove any item is yours.

Accuracy

Spruce displays storage and photo library information using data from your iPhone's operating system. These numbers are approximate and may differ slightly from what you see in your iPhone's Settings app.

Availability

Spruce requires iOS 17.0 or later. We may update the app from time to time with new features, improvements, or bug fixes. We do not guarantee that the app will always be available or free of errors.

Limitation of liability

Spruce is provided as-is. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss of data, photos, or other content resulting from your use of the app. We recommend reviewing items carefully before removal and using the 30-day Recently Deleted recovery window if needed.

Intellectual property

Spruce, including its design, code, and brand, is owned by its developer. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reverse-engineer the app.

Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access to Spruce if these terms are violated. You may stop using the app at any time by deleting it from your device and cancelling any active subscription.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The revised version will be posted at this URL with a new "last updated" date. Continued use of the app after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes will be resolved in accordance with applicable law.
